Our top priority is to come to a deep personal relationship with Christ, to experience him speaking to us, to see him on the cross and hear him say, ‘I love you this much’, to experience him being next to us every second of the day. We are not isolated individuals; al this happens within community. Just going to Mass on Sunday is not enough. We need to belong to a real living community. We need to meet so as to listen, pray, and reach out to others. Such small communities are the cells of life that today’s Church needs. All this happens only by the power of the Holy Spirit who is the breath of our Christian life. Only the Holy Spirit enables us to say and to mean, “Abba, Father”. At its deepest level, this is what our life is about.
