CATHOLIC BIBLICAL ASSOCIATION OF GREAT BRITAIN
PRIZE ESSAY COMPETITION

All Catholic first-year undergraduates at any university or higher education institute in Great Britain are invited to submit an original essay of between 2,000 and 2,500 words on any area of biblical studies. This essay may already have been written as part of the student’s course work.Prizes sponsored by the Trustees of the Catholic Biblical Association of Great Britain: £100 worth of books for the winner, and £50 worth of books to one runner-up. Successful entries will be eligible for publication in an appropriate journal.Judges for the competition will be Dom Henry Wansbrough (Ampleforth Abbey), and the Most Revd Patrick Kelly (Archbishop of Liverpool). The judges’ decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into. The prizewinners will be announced on 5th June 2006.Essays should be submitted by 28th April 2006.
