We pray Father,
during this season of hope and promise
for peace in our world.

For leaders of nations
that they may have the wisdom to know what is right and the courage to do it.

For all people
that their hearts may be turned to you
in the search for truth and justice.

For those who are working to improve international relationships
that they may find the way to reconciliation.

We pray for those who suffer as a result of war;
the injured, the disabled, the distressed,
the homeless and the hungry;
for those who mourn their dead
and those who are without hope or friend,
that they maybe sustained by your love.
