ELEVEN MOULD-BREAKING YEARS

MOVING CELEBRATION AT ST. WALBURGE’S

Almost 200 people gathered in St. Walburge’s church, Preston, on Sunday July 11th to mark the end of the Collaborative Ministry Course, which Miss Dympna Magee has led in this diocese since 1993.

Dympna Magee
Dr Eddie Rogan from Blackpool who took part in the course in 1996 voiced the feelings of many when he said, “I had known all about the church from my childhood. But God was some shadowy figure. Although I had been told that Jesus died for me I didn't really know he loved me. I didn't really know that God was in my life. I could have gone on being faithful to the church without ever knowing that God had made his home in me. This course changed all that. It made me aware that God was in me and in my friend and in my enemy. I will never be able to express my thanks fully enough to all who made this available, especially Dympna. My great regret is that it is to end because many people are going to miss much.”
